The Pinnacles, Philip Island, Victoria

I spent the day with a couple of friends at The Pinnacles on the island of Philip Island in Victoria.

A difficult, but not impossible walk down a cliff led us to the boulder-strewn beach at Cape Woolami. You start your journey at the Surfers club..walk left down the beach until you get to stairs..walk up to the top of the cliff, and head right along the path…this will take around an hour, until you get to a rest bench ..to the right of the bench, as you are looking at the sea is a small, steep path – head down it..but be careful, as slippery when wet…it is worth the walk, as the beach is ancient, and stunning.

Coastal Walk

Taken at Crib Point on Victoria’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula – although a suburb of Melbourne, it is a place of wild beauty in places. Crib Point is a temperate Mangrove region, with some lovely coastal plants..

Interior Australia

I recently had the urge to paint … something I haven’t done for over 20 years !

Here are two paintings of Outback Australia …both Acrylic on Canvas …a place of pure, raw beauty..with the most amazing colours which both compliment and contrast the simplicity of the land.

Strength

My favorite tree ..it stands alone, but so strong …despite the fog and darkness of this image..it makes me smile.

Motion blur

I usually use Lightroom to process my images…and tend to go for a more natural look than these images, but have recently had a play with Photoshop Elements – and the filter and colour editing processes they offer.

The use of Motion blur can give a wonderful abstract quality ..go to ‘filter’ >>>’Blur >>>>then ‘Motion Blur” These are set at 99%
